Facebook Games

Anyone who uses Facebook will be aware of the abundance of games available on it purely by looking at there feed, which has normally been flooded with people finding lonely cows and leveling up. Whilst personally I regularly play Facebook games to pass the time, I also know people who hate them with a passion, for me the problem is not how good or bad each game is but more the stream of people asking for help on them, and yes I am guilty of this as well. Leaving that out of the equation for now and concentrating purely on the games themselves, in particular the ones made by http://www.playfish.com/. Who are they? well there owned by EA who paid $400,000,000 for them. So seen as EA owns them they’re proper games, right?Well more so than you might think for example:

Crazy Planet                                                                               Worms (XBLA)

These two have many similarities, the difference being one is free the other cost 800 Microsoft Points (Around £8) the graphically qualities are vastly different but I know which one I have had more fun with and it definitely does not involve things that crawl around in the mud. Baring in mind the game play of the two is very similar but if you were spending your own money which would you pick?  But the important thing is why Facebook games stand out from the tonnes of flash games out there, it’s the same reason as why we love multiplayer, to play with our friends.

It’s so easy to play and battle with them, only one log in is needed for them all, and if you compare them to the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii, I have to say Facebook is the best value for money by a long shot. That is the simple fact why Facebook games should really be given more credit as “proper” and most importantly as fun games.
