The Multiplayer Demo for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has been released onto Xbox Live. Sadly, It is currently a gold exclusive. The demo takes up just over a 1 Gig on your hard drive and I must say that it is very fun.
When Heavy Rain was first announced I immediatly knew that this game was a day one buy. But you couldn’t help but be afraid of spoilers, especially with a story centric game like Heavy Rain.
Luckily Heavy Rain director David Cage is probably more cautious, about your hype experience being as spoiler free as possible, than you yourself.
That dedicated mindset is reflected by the demo of the game, soon to be released on the 11th of Febuary. The demo bulid itself, while still taking place within the canon of Heavy Rain, is removed from the main story arc that drives the main game.
You could even say it’s a downloadable short story to warm you up to the atmosphere of the seemingly endless hard copy drama.
Though in this sense, it does retract from the point of having a demo. Heavy Rain is reduced to a quicktime event tech-demo without it’s compelling story. So why have a demo featuring a different scene than the ones in the game? Anyone can press a button in the right context, which means this demo being meant as a gameplay tutorial is out of the question.
If you already had your mind set on buying this game, the demo won’t give you exactly what you’re hoping for, since it will only serve as a presentational piece rather than a proper interlude.

In the past 2 week or so there have been lots of demo to come out on XBLM. Some good, Some bad and not 1 but 2 of them with Vin Diesel. While I suggest you check out all of the ones that interest you here is my opinion on them.
The demo has only 1 match type that is single player where you play as either hogan or Andre the giant. The wrestlers themselves look great but the crowd as well as other details have awful graphics. The controls are unintuitive and slow, and are very difficult to actually use them. Most of the grapple moves consits of quick time events that leave the game very boring. I’d pass on this.
The second demo with Vin Diesel is Wheelman. This demo is based off of his upcoming movie of the same name. It’s a driving game with really bad driving physics but for some reason its fun to play. Its a very arcade like game and has some cool idea’s It does not seem like its triple A game but check out the demo for yourself.
This game is basically Microsoft’s version of Ninja Gaiden. Nuff Said, Play the demo, Its awesome. For those of you who have never played Ninja Gaiden its a 3rd person hack and slash game.
Recently on Xbox Live there came a demo of a little RTS game called Halo Wars. Halo Wars is an RTS game that is supposedly suppose to redesign RTS games on the console, and it definitely delivers. As a hardcore RTS gamer coming to this it was a bit confusing for me because I was used to the crazy hardcore so called “confusing” controls of the games like command and conquer. Overall the demo will please someone just coming into RTS gaming. The game sets a while back from Halo1. The cut scenes look amazing and the animations are just like the FPS versions of the game. The demo lets you play 2 missions and 1 skirmish map, which is chasms, a snow glacier map.The controls are easy and quick to learn. A=select X=move to/attack Y=special attack/move B=cancel LB=select all units LT=I actually don’t know get RB=select all units on screen RT=scroll through selected units. That’s basically the controls of Halo Wars. So even if you don’t like RTSs but you are a Halo fan this is definitely the really long time it takes to download this 1.4 GB file.
