Chances are you’re pretty clued up on what’s going on in the gaming community. You’ve probably been brought up on video games. Some of you may even have played E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial on the Atari 2600 – although more people have walked on the moon than actually played that title.
But just how game geeky are you? Here’s a test, more of a two in one actually. You first have to consider whether you have ever played the theme song from Cannon Fodder using nothing more than game controllers? Unless you are part of Press Play on Tape – that’s probably a ‘no’.
Secondly, how well do you know your games? Shall we find out? Accompanied by a gaming geek song? Great! Then let us begin….. just see how many games and popular culture references you can name from the following video from the aforementioned PressPlayOnTape.

Peas and loaves people!
I’ve been David, and you’ve been awesome.
When Heavy Rain was first announced I immediatly knew that this game was a day one buy. But you couldn’t help but be afraid of spoilers, especially with a story centric game like Heavy Rain.
Luckily Heavy Rain director David Cage is probably more cautious, about your hype experience being as spoiler free as possible, than you yourself.
That dedicated mindset is reflected by the demo of the game, soon to be released on the 11th of Febuary. The demo bulid itself, while still taking place within the canon of Heavy Rain, is removed from the main story arc that drives the main game.
You could even say it’s a downloadable short story to warm you up to the atmosphere of the seemingly endless hard copy drama.
Though in this sense, it does retract from the point of having a demo. Heavy Rain is reduced to a quicktime event tech-demo without it’s compelling story. So why have a demo featuring a different scene than the ones in the game? Anyone can press a button in the right context, which means this demo being meant as a gameplay tutorial is out of the question.
If you already had your mind set on buying this game, the demo won’t give you exactly what you’re hoping for, since it will only serve as a presentational piece rather than a proper interlude.
Due to traffic problems with google, I can’t access our traffic rate. SO anyone who is reading please leave 1 comment so I can get a proper headcount. Yes, it may sound a little bizzare, but this is the only way that it’ll work. Thank you.
